Freshworks Residency: Gladstone Deluxe & Samir Gangwani

Percussionist and DJ Gladstone Deluxe teams up with designer and composer Samir Gangwani for a month-long creative residency at the Kelly Strayhorn Theater to unearth new interfaces for musical expression. Fusing various forms of new media, the duo explores how innocent gestures among people and machines are obstructed by overseeing bodies.

The team offers a sonic exploration of the gap that exist between the physical and digital world that use custom software, infrared cameras, and ambisonic sound to generate totally new soundscapes and rhythms.
